Both are programmes in School of Computing and Engineering in Staffordshire University. CS for programming and problem solving in general, and BIT for business problem using IT.
Depending on specific modules and contents prescribed in the module descriptor; most software and hardware that are required are available and ready to be used in the CityU Computer labs.
There are five semesters; for each semester, you have 12 weeks of study period and followed by study/reading week and exam week.
40 is the passing mark, and a referral assessment will be provided if a student fails in the first attempt, however the result will be capped at 40 for further attempts.
The actual examination period will be from Week 14 to 15 in each semester.
The examination timetable will be released to students via CityU Canvas about 1 month before the examination date.
The result letters will be posted to students by mail according to the following schedule:
Summer semester: November
Semester A: March
Year 1 Semester B*: June
Year 2 Semester B: July
* The progression list will be released via CityU Canvas in early June
The reassessment letter with details of the reassessment arrangement will be posted to students together with their result letters. The date of the reassessment will normally be scheduled one month after the date of issuing the reassessment letter.
Students should complete an EC application form and submit it together with supporting documents within TEN working days of the submission deadline (coursework) /date of examination or test
