Programme Information

Classes

There are approximately 6 class hours per week (normally including 1 weekday evening plus 1 weekend afternoon and evening). Classes will be held in Kowloon Tong or at other SCOPE learning centres.

Assessment and Final Award

In general, each 15 credit module at level 5 consists of 36 contact hours and 114 hours of independent study and at level 6 consists of 24 contact hours and 126 hours of independent study. The taught modules include lectures, tutorials and lab sessions. Assessment for taught modules is by coursework and/or examination and involves group work for some modules. During the final year of studies, students are required to undertake a major project. An External Examiner appointed by Staffordshire University reviews the assessments for the programme.

Programme Administration

The programme is administered by SCOPE, City University of Hong Kong. Teaching on the programme is conducted by local practitioners and lecturers approved by Staffordshire University. Staffordshire University closely monitors the progress and quality of the programme. University staff including the Link Tutor visit the programme every year.
