Introduction
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), through the School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE), City University of Hong Kong (CityU), is offering a part-time programme leading to the award of BEng (Hons) Fire Engineering.
BEng (Hons) Fire Engineering is an exempted programme under the Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance (ref. number:451418). It is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognize any qualification to which this programme may lead.

The standard duration of study for this top-up programme BEng (Hons) Fire Engineering offered by CityU SCOPE in September 2024 will span two years, concluding at the end of August 2026.

Please note that requests for deferral of study will not be considered unless accompanied by compelling justifications, and the decision made by SCOPE and the University of Central Lancashire will be final.
The final decision regarding the commencement of the 2024 Intake, which is expected to be determined by mid-August 2024, will depend on the final enrolment number of students. The University of Central Lancashire and CityU SCOPE reserve the right to not offer the 2024 Intake due to insufficient enrolment or any other extenuating circumstances.
