The School has well organised a conversion course for us in Summer before commencement of the programme, so that the students who are lacking in the bachelor’s degree in relation to the Construction Management/Quantity Surveying disciplines like me could quickly adapt to studies.

從事工料測量這行業除了對工程施工程序要有一定認識外，還要熟識合約條款，才能為公司爭取到最大利益。因此，希望透過進修增進有關知識。這課程包含建築科技、項目成本估算及採購和合同法等知識，對工作有一定幫助。 英國院校以及城大專業進修學院所提供的資源豐富，對學習及撰寫論文甚有幫助。導師經驗豐富，願意細心回答學生提問。此外，課程於近年更得到了RICS的認 可，讓畢業生以較短時間取得專業資格。 雖然以兼讀形式進修比全日制更需要自律，但是工作上所得到的經驗卻能讓我更容易掌握學習課題，也能運用經驗應答考試及功課題目。

回想當時誤打誤撞地選擇了Wolverhampton的QS學位課程，轉眼間已是兩年多前的事。這兩年間因為正就讀此課程，令我獲得一份與工料測量相關的工作，課程中所學習的亦令我獲益良多。 經歷此課程後，我認識了很多關於QS的知識。例如taking off和閱讀合約等。希望我能學以致用，在此行業有所貢獻。

"As a law-enforcer, I am interested in learning about the legislative process. The modules of the programme, such as Public Policy Making, are very practical for such purpose. The lecturers would also use a lot of current issues for illustration, which helped us understand complicated concepts. My exposure in public administration has been improved, which brings me career advancement opportunities."
